Switch views and navigate dates

last updated at: Jun 8, 2026

Calendar opens in month view by default. You can switch to week view for a closer look at a single week, and use the navigation controls in the toolbar to move between periods.

Switch between month and week view

In the toolbar at the top of the page, find the dropdown on the right side. It shows the current view, either Month or Week. Click it and choose the other option to switch.

The view changes immediately, staying on the same point in time. If you are looking at June in month view, switching to week view shows the week that contains your current date in June.

Move to the next or previous period

Use the arrow buttons in the toolbar to step through time:

  • The left arrow moves back one month (in month view) or one week (in week view).
  • The right arrow moves forward by the same amount.

The title next to the arrows updates to show where you are. In month view it reads something like June 2026. In week view it shows the date range, for example Jun 2 – 8, 2026.

Jump to today

Click Today in the toolbar to return to the current period. In month view this brings you back to the current month. In week view it brings you back to the current week.

Today's date is always highlighted with a filled circle in both views, so you can spot it at a glance.

Create an event by clicking a day

In both views, you can click any day cell to open the event creation dialog with that date pre-filled. See Create and edit an event for the full steps.
