Rename a room

You can rename a chat room at any time from inside the room.

Rename a room

1. Open the room in Chat.
2. Click the pencil icon in the toolbar at the top of the room. The tooltip reads Edit.
3. In the rename dialog, edit the name in the field and type the new one.
4. Click Rename.

The new name appears straight away in the toolbar and in the sidebar.

Who can rename a room

You need edit access to the room to rename it. If you only have viewer access, the rename will not be saved and an error will appear.
