Edit or delete a contact

You can update any of a contact's details at any time, and delete contacts you no longer need.
Edit a contact
- Open Contacts and click the contact you want to change. Their details appear on the right.
- Click the pencil icon (Edit) in the toolbar.
- Make your changes. The form is divided into three sections:
- Basic Information: First name, Last name, Company, Job title, and Labels.
- Contact Information: Email Addresses, Phone Numbers, and Addresses.
- Additional Information: Birthday and Notes.
- Click Save. You are returned to the contact's detail view.
To cancel without saving, click Cancel.
Add or remove a photo
In the edit form, click the camera button on the avatar to open a small menu. Choose Upload from files to pick an image from your computer. If the contact already has a photo, the menu also shows Remove avatar.
Add extra email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses
Each of those fields has an Add button. Click it to add another entry. To remove one you no longer need, click the trash icon next to it. (The trash icon only appears when there are two or more entries, so the last one cannot be removed.)
Change labels
In the Labels row you can pick a label from the dropdown. To remove a label, click the small trash icon on its badge.
Delete a contact
- Open the contact you want to delete.
- Click the trash icon (Delete) in the toolbar.
- A confirmation dialog appears. Click Delete to confirm, or Cancel to go back.
You can also right-click any contact in the list and choose Delete from the menu that appears.
Deleting a contact is permanent. There is no way to recover a deleted contact.
