Share a calendar
last updated at: Jun 8, 2026
A calendar in Eigen is private to you until you share it. You can share with specific people by email, choose how much they can see or do, and share with a whole team at once.
Open the sharing settings
- In the sidebar on the left, find the calendar you want to share under My Calendars.
- Hover over its name to reveal the pencil icon on the right, then click it. The Edit Calendar dialog opens.
The Sharing section is below the calendar name and colour.
Add a person
- In the Sharing section, type a name or email address into the contact field.
- Select the person from the suggestions, or type a full email address and press Enter.
- They appear under People with access with Can view permission by default.
- To change what they can do, click the dropdown next to their name and choose one of:
- Can edit: they can create, change, and delete events on this calendar.
- Can view: they can see all event details but cannot make changes.
- Free/Busy: they can see only when you are busy or free, without any event titles or details.
- Click Save.
The person you added will see the calendar under Shared with me in their own Calendar sidebar.
Remove someone's access
Open the Edit Calendar dialog for the calendar, find the person under People with access, and set their dropdown to Remove. Click Save to apply the change.
Share with a team
If you belong to one or more teams, a Share with team button appears at the bottom of the Sharing section. Click it to open a menu of your teams, then click the team you want to add. The team appears in the People with access list. Click Save.
Everyone in that team will see the calendar under Team Calendars in their sidebar.
