Your first steps

Eigen brings your mail, files, calendar, and more together in one place, each as its own app. This page shows you how to sign in, set up your profile, and move between the apps.

Open Eigen in your browser and you land on the sign-in screen.

  1. On the Sign in tab, type your username. This is the part of your email address before the @. Your domain is filled in for you, so you only type the first part.
  2. Type your Password.
  3. Click Sign in.

That's it. You arrive at your apps, ready to work.

Set up your profile

Once you're in, take a minute to set up your account in Space, your own corner of Eigen. Open it from your picture in the top-right corner, or use the links below.

Your name and picture are public to everyone else in your Eigen. They show up next to your messages, on files you share, and wherever you take part, so it's worth setting a name and photo you're happy for others to see.

Move between the apps

Eigen is a set of apps that share the same account and the same look. At the top left of every app is a grid button (its label is Switch app). Click it to open the full list and jump to any of them:

  • Mail for your inbox.
  • Drive for your files and folders.
  • Calendar for your schedule.
  • Docs, Sheets, and Slides for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Stickies for notes and boards, and Chat for messages.
  • Contacts for the people you know.

The app you're in is highlighted in the list, so you always know where you are.

In a hurry? Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K on Windows) to open a search box that jumps straight to any app, file, or message. See Find anything with search and the command palette.
